How Scheduled Publishing Helps You Release Documents on Time
· 2 min read

Some documents are only meant to be seen at a specific moment: a press kit that is embargoed until launch, a price list that starts on the first of the month, a report for a meeting that begins at nine.
Prepare early, publish later
With scheduled publishing you upload the file when it suits you and choose when the link goes live. Until then, anyone who opens it sees a clear scheduled message with the date and a countdown, and the document itself cannot be opened.
Why it helps
- No last-minute rush. Finish the work before the deadline, not during it.
- Everyone gets access at the same moment.
- Time zones are handled for you. Pick the time zone that matters and the server enforces it.
Combine it with expiry
The expiry countdown starts when the document is published. A document scheduled for Monday at 9:00 with a 7-day expiry will be available from Monday until the following Monday.
Tips
- Double-check the time zone before you upload.
- Share the link ahead of time so people know where to look.
- Add a management login so you can check the schedule and see analytics afterwards.
Try it on the upload page by opening Schedule publishing.
